Key Responsibilities:

• Execute and monitor food preparation activities
• Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in Chinese cuisine
• Adhere to food safety practices and standards
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure high-quality service
• Utilize time management and organizational skills effectively
• Food Preparation:
• Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of Chinese dishes, including appetizers, main courses, and sauces.
• Maintain accuracy and consistency in all dishes, adhering to recipe standards and portion control.
• Cooking Techniques:
• Proficient in Chinese culinary techniques, such as stir-frying, steaming, and braising, while ensuring that dishes are authentic and meet high standards.
• Manage and operate kitchen equipment specific to Chinese cooking, such as woks and steamers.
• Quality Control: Ensure all dishes are presented in a visually appealing and appetizing manner.
• Conduct regular checks for food freshness, quality, and proper storage practices.
• Kitchen Operations:
• Work alongside other chefs in the kitchen, contributing to a collaborative and productive environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas and comply with sanitation and safety regulations.
• Inventory and Supplies:
• Assist in tracking ingredient inventory, reporting shortages, and helping to reorder supplies as needed.
• Ensure proper storage and preservation of ingredients to prevent waste.
• Team Support:
• Collaborate with team members, sharing knowledge and supporting a positive and efficient kitchen culture.
• Participate in training sessions and be willing to learn and implement new recipes as needed.
